The wonder called David

April 17, 2018

David is indeed an exceptional wonder (like another handful in the OT) for his effortless hold over the timeless principle of childlike faith (in God). Past his mountainous failures he was both willing and able to surmount them, but it came not because there was a dormant power inside of him that he was somehow able to awaken. In fact it was the opposite that was true! (For he felt the same powerlessness in failure that he undeniably felt in his successes as well!) It came because it didn’t seem hard to believe that there is a God above who will yet make it possible. That He forgives, He allows, He will make all things well. And so it was perfectly ok to trust, perfectly ok not to try too hard, ok not to kill oneself. David the wonderman!
