What is law?

March 1, 2018

Law is the way things ought to be. It’s the flesh and sinews of what truth is, how it is defined, what differentiates it from lie. It is the value afforded to good, better, best. It is the glory offered to nobility. It is the best as things can ever get! The only thing that corrupts it is the lack of the spirit of the law. When law is reduced to mere letter, just a written code without meaning or purpose, it fails to accomplish what it was meant to. That’s where there is no law in the first place, what is kept is a mere formality, a farce, a counterfeit of law. Law that is truly kept will achieve its purpose of excellent social relations, allowance for achieving the most excellent, and self actualization besides.

Law must be understood, appreciated, obeyed.
