What is, not isn’t

November 23, 2017

A friend isn’t one who isn’t many things, but one who IS some things. E.g. He is not merely NOT an enemy, stranger, hater, gossip, others, but IS some of these: one who invited the confidence to befriend/confide, one who heard the pain and shared it, one who helped work it out, one who dreamed along, one who shared the joys/successes/pleasures/prides, one who saved and guided, one who himself shared his life/struggles/failures/pains/successes, and so much else. Friendship more than what isn’t is about what IS.
