There he stood as a helpless loner against a vast nation, a brutal king and unmitigated jealousy. In custody, dragged from Judean pillar to Galilean post he faced the very man his fearful father did all to hide him from, he then only a helpless infant. Now in that ancient enemy’s hands as a prisoner, he was pried with questions aplenty, even a curiosity mixed with fancy and mystery. And yet not a mark was found in him! Jesus in the hands of Herod.
