Which is better: To offend (unreasonably) behind but put up a good front, or offend (unreasonably) behind and not even make an attempt to hide it? Well really neither I think (although there still seems to be a contender). There are other options too, and some do seem better than others: progressively offending less -degrees of offence- (best being almost not offending at all); unintentionally offending; offending for a good reason; offending openly/justly; being apologetic when caught offending; offending only when provoked; and maybe others…
