God of the impossible

May 21, 2016

It’s not possible to know things ahead of time, before they happen, as if they’ve already panned out right before one’s eye. But not so with God. The Gospel records around the incident of the triumphal entry are united in noting how Jesus instructed his disciples ahead of time about how things will pan out just as he said. And that’s exactly what they found! Again, I’m not too sure if a colt of a donkey that’s never been ridden before would so willingly cooperate with a man trying to ride it for the first time. But Jesus rode it as he entered Jerusalem. God is not confined by our limitations. And therefore we can and must lean on Him for what lies beyond us.
