Flaws

May 18, 2016

The argument of Jesus was rather simple: Even after you saw this, you didn’t believe! And what Jesus said was right. It was amply clear to the Pharisees and Teachers of the Law that if the prostitutes and ‘sinners’ were going through incredible change (for the better!), surely what was causing it, namely Jesus, must be true, of God, holy, good, reliable, trustworthy. But no still they wouldn’t believe, still they wouldn’t accept. I’m pretty sure they nailed it on this: that he broke the Sabbath (and even that without listening to his argument on the matter). Appears to be the same reason why a prophet is never respected in his hometown: coz his people have in their kitties some of his ‘flaws’. But they still remain blind to all the other good born of him. And probably magnify their meagre misunderstandings of him.
