Deciphering a hero

Slaying Goliath, tearing the lion’s mouth, or rescuing the sheep from the bear’s paw were not the only things David did. Of course those were notable highpoints of his life. Otherwise he was just a regular man weighed with disappointments and discouragements, jealousy and treachery, failure and consequences. It’s how he braved them. A lot of his heroism lies in these silent struggles that must be discerned, deciphered and most calmly/sensibly supposed.
