It seems like a liar is generous in his construction of stories. He can conjure an elaborate foundation, build a towering structure and decorate it with showy embellishments. He need never be economical, for his stories don’t cost a thing. Not so with a truthful man. He is ever cautious about the words he uses, about what it might be taken to mean and whether it is really necessary. He is so sparing, even stingy with his claims.
