Turning the battle at the city gates

March 29, 2015

It’s when the enemy troops have proved stronger out in the battlefield and have now advanced toward home. They’ve now surrounded your city and you’re left to fight or die, and you fight back. It’s when you pick up new courage and turn the battle at the city gate. It’s like rescuing a lamb from the mouth of the lion. It’s like picking up your strength and walking off before people say their last prayers for you. It’s like mounting the wave and surfing it when it’s about to swallow you. Fight back to keep what is yours. Some are needed to restore order, some are needed to keep the rest in safety. Some are needed to turn the tide. Be strong and don’t give up.
