Hard work but happy work

December 29, 2014

That is disciplined work.

Nothing stays in order unless we keep it in order. And that means hard work, constant work, consistent work. Efficient work means being alert all the time, although it doesn’t have to mean restless work. Efficient work can be fairly restful, and the joy is to have a well maintained domain. The system doesn’t run on emergencies, it is not always on crisis management mode. There is a sense of peace and joy about what’s coming next.

Work, we will have to, but why not at least keep it happy? Why not do things when they have to be done? And why not find all the time to eat all we like, look the way we like and be on top of all our commitments? That’s what disciplined work can actually come down to!
